Sounds like a decent idea to me. It's probably the best sniper in the game, with 100% accuracy AND damage.

I would be prepared to spend A LOT of NX on it, though. -_-

The chances of getting one perm are 1 in 1000...so be prepared to get a LOT of weapon renewals...and you have to get it from a case first too.

You would probably spend less money buying the best perm NX pistol, AR, SMG, SR and SG than if you tried to get the DSR-1 Tactical perm.

Well, I got it for 90 days after a half a dozen renewal kits. It was in maybe my 6th case.
My first case had a REC-7 Rangers for 90 days though.
And my 7th case had a Rangers for 30 days.
So I don't think much NX was wasted XD.
And I still have 6 renewal kits leftover.

Wow, nice pulls. ^_^

You're even luckier than I am. I need a renewal kit for my DSR this weekend. I'm going to Kansas City Friday through Sunday and it's going to expire sometime in there.

LOL I don't have any nx left over to renew my DSR-1 Tactical but then overall it was beastly and pretty awesome, maybe the best sniper in the game.
And congratulations mufasaa for getting so lucky >.<

Here's my final thoughts on the DSR.

I'm not renewing it.

(You may gasp now.)

The accuracy is great, the RoF is great, the portability isn't bad, the drawspeed is meh, and it has a decent scope. But I still prefer an M107 to that, even if the accuracy is far lower. It's more versatile due to the double scope and the higher magnification makes it easier to snipe long-range targets than any other sniper rifle out there.

And before anyone says, "Oh, but you can't no scope/quickscope/dragshot/any other lame sniping tactic introduced by today's video games", I wholeheartedly say GOOD.

Snipers in real life fire from a prone position at targets several hundred yards away. There is no no scoping, quick scoping, bunnyhopping, pressing Q to redraw your weapon to negate cocking the bolt, etc, in real life.

I prefer to not be completely cheap with a 1 hit kill sniper and instead use it for what it was designed for: picking off targets without them hitting you. Not showing off how lucky you get with cheap tricks coded into a video game. And by far, the best gun for that job is the M107.

actaully the m107 i find to b the best no scopin snyper out there bcuz of the big and wide nozzle thingy at the end of it. the only reasson i would ever use a m107 is for the no scopin i hate it for aactually snyping the AW and L11 r pretty decent guns and my favorite out of all of em is the DSR for obvoius reassons i rape wit it Very Happy

Meh, I'll take perfect accuracy with 1-shot over double mag. Double mag may make it easier for long-range, but fog limits that anyway. Maps like those are extremely limited as well. (What, Roadkill and Snow Valley?)
Call me crazy, but I also believe that it has 1 more clip than the L9. More camping goodness.

The accuracy isn't as high as the M24 anyway and that's where double magnification really makes sniping easy.

I don't know about you, but I'll take a target twice the size as normal with a decent accuracy rating to a target normal sized but "max" accuracy. And again I don't even think the accuracy is as high as Nexon rated it, else I'd probably use it a lot more.

The double mag is more like 1.5x a normal sniper scope, not 2x. And again, considering that the majority of maps are mid-short ranges, double mag isn't needed. Accuracy will fall at a distance because the scope isn't as magnified/precise relative to the target, but such distances are extremely limited.

The only scenarios where I can see a M107 being superior is camping in Snow Valley, and sniping across the two popular rooftop spots in Waverider.

2x was an exaggeration, sorry. Still there is a noticeable increase from other scopes and accuracy in an M107 is fairly stable at distances.

I suppose we must agree to disagree.

Indeed. And it also depends on your playstyle. I see it more as a NX-expensive replacement for an L9. Useful when my ARs or SMG are no longer the preferred weapon choice.
If I'm camping though or doing some real sniping (as you described earlier) an M39 or M107 would be preferred.

I just like to debate Smile

I do like a good argument every now and again. =)

I'm glad it didn't end up like most people would have made it... Just ranting and flaming each other about how much of a fanboy they are for each gun.

On a side note that's the problem with Nexon's forums.

:DD i live in Kansas City!!!

And i haven't even picked up the DSR-1 Tact. I haven't tryed the gun out at all i haven't looked at it in the shop. But im not really a sniper person anymore im more of a rusher and other stuff where u move around. i pretty much just use my G36 for sniping lol. But when i do use a real sniper im still good, using the G36 has made my aiming even better than before (before it wasnt good id say 1-10 it was a 7) and i pretty much try to aim for heads when im sniping with the G36. Im sort of a Pistol, AR, and SMG type of person in CA.
