PostSubject: Young, and Pushy players on the game.   January 16th 2011, 10:52 pm

We'll I've recently noticed that younger aged people are piling up in Combat Arms Na and Eu. One thing I've been dealing with everyday, is kids aged 6-11 are trying to be "Older" than the Older players. Even if they are like 2nd lieutenants, or higher, they always call other people "noobs" knowing nothing about the word. The solution I always do is that if the kids have a microphone w/ headphone built in, could abviously hear me, so I ask the person to talk. If they sound like a kid between the age of 6 and 11, I'd I'll justTell them that "We're not younger than you and that you also act tougher, and start bossing around, getting pushy--" and so on. Just like Nexon and the hacker problem. I think Nexon should have a strict age limit, around 16, and have a verification box. If you feel the same way about younger players please PM me or reply to this topic.

I agree that there are kids that are really young on CA and that it gets annoying in the lobby when everyone sounds like Justin Bieber with helium. The problem is, there's no way to enforce an age limit restriction. Surveys have even shown that a large fraction of high schoolers go to porn sites, simply because there is no realistic way to ensure that the person filling out a registration form is telling the truth. A verification box (I assume this means that other players can verify you) might be okay, but people without mics will have problems. Also, people would just verify their friends.
I'm gonna turn 16 in less than 3 weeks, so I don't have issues with the age limit, but I do hate really high pitched, nasal voices from guys, so sometimes I just turn off voice chat or find a different game.
As far as bossiness in chatting goes, I don't really give a rat's ass what they say as long as they're not obviously hacking and saying "QQ" every time I accuse them. And on this subject, I wish Nexon would add the ability to kick opposing players. Obviously, everyone would try to kick everyone else, but that could be remedied by increasing the 2/3 fraction of affirmative votes required to kick. That way, enemy teams can't just keep hackers in order to win.

So true, & what's also annoying is that redneck American know-it-all. Theyre older than most of us but I hate the fact they think they are 100% right all the time & due to their "experience" they know who's "hacking" or not. And you must not forget every single time you kill a real pro player either with your pure skill or a lotto shot they often QQ more than true noobs do.

I usually just try to set an example for all the other players in the room. It probably makes no difference that I tend to tell people that I assume that players legitimately killed me over hacked to kill me. I don't have a problem with any age group playing the game, so long as they aren't actively hurting anyone by trolling or the ilk. If you have a problem with certain age groups in voice chat, then invest in your own VoIP server or deal with it, because they have as much right to speak as you.

And for the record the absolute BEST way to deal with a rager/QQer is to completely avoid arguing with that person and always compliment them on their kills. When they see you aren't out to hack them they generally realize their mistake and although they usually don't apologize, they do tend to stop with the complaints.

Personally, I compliment every kill scored on me until it becomes obvious that there is a hacker. Obviously OPKs can be detected with relative ease, but aimbots can be harder and chams are virtually impossible to detect after being killed only once. That's important to remember the next time you feel the need to complain. As a rule of thumb, I NEVER condemn a player until I have been suspiciously killed at least 3 times, and even then I want other people to check for me to make sure the person IS hacking.

I guess what I'm saying is if you set an example for how the game is supposed to be played, your games generally go a lot smoother because other people pick up on how you play. That's what I like about our clan... We have very little complaining going on. =)

What does annoying hackers in game count as? Definitely not QQing is it? One of my favorite things to do is just annoy hackers after a game. I just hang around that rooms to just "kill" the room.

But the only problem is most hackers leave the game straight away once its done.

Remember that clan war when there was that hacker who prefired and somehow knew where we were everytime? (In Sector 25). We hung around after the game and stayed in the lobby until they left?

Well, I've had enough of kids telling me what to do even if I'm the older person. the last experience I had was earlier today around 5:30 my time. A 1lt in MY room told me to start so I lost it. I also, agree with fish. Alot of these Miniature Justin Beiber's are getting annoying. I wish Nexon would do something about both hackers, AND Mini-beibers.

Tyleh, I agree that complimenting QQers on kills (and everyone else) does work well to get them to stop. I myself do it a lot, only I can get in a really bad mood when I've been accused every single game that day. Then I argue with everything. (I should learn to stop.)

I've never seen someone have to complain several times to get an OPK kicked, because they're that obvious. I do have problems with chammers and aimbots. Often, teammates will realize what's going on and back me up, but I have played matches where someone will only target me (using a nametag hack, I'm quite sure). The other day I was on Alpha in SF, and this guy was chamming, nametagging, and aimbotting with an L96A1, so every time I spawned, he knew which way to go from his base to kill me, never missing. (And it was Bravo, so there's none of that "no spread" no-scope BS going on here). The problem was, I could clearly tell he was hacking, but the EM on the other team wouldn't kick him. He didn't hack anyone else on my team, so they couldn't back me up, and he had an average KDR because he died after he killed me, usually. Obviously, no one but the two of us realized that he kept killing me in the same way with an L9. (It showed up in the kill log but no one was keeping track.) And everyone was ignoring the comments he was making in the chat, hinting at his hacking, but also denying it.

People like that piss me off, especially when it happens so late in the game that my KDR will either be hurt, or I'll leave, forfeiting a match I might have won, and lose all the EXP/GP I just wasted time on.

I've had enough of EMs and Super Em not kicking hackers that are on their team. I think that the only way that you're going to buy E-Mod is to kick hackers and players who are annoying. Atleast now we get a a few days before the hackers complete thier new PUb and VIP. Let's hope it doesn't get completed.

Transcript of my usual CA dialogue:

Hackusator: Tyleh hax. Kick Tyleh. Kick him or I report. KICK TYLEH OR I EAT PUPPIES. *Additional 2-3 minutes of hardcore QQ*
Tyleh: I don't hack.

*next kill (bonus points for headshot/pistol/knife kills ^_^)*

Hackusator: HAXHAXHAXHAX CHAMS.
Tyleh: --Lengthy discussion on exactly how I knew where he was even though he thought he was hidden... Usually involves him being an idiot and running into the open or footsteps or possibly just me checking the usual spots.--

*5 minutes of quiet for a while, still killing him. I get killed by Hackusator.*

Tyleh: NS.
Hackusator: YEAH IPWNTTEHHAXXORI'MSO1337ANDHAZMASSIVEEPEENROFLMAO!!!
Tyleh: [Sigh...]

Those types of players annoy me, but other than that it's almost impossible to get under my skin.

Right about that lengthy discussion, I usually get type killed. Or I awkwardly end in the middle of sentence so I can kill that other guy splashing around in the water behind me, so I can get accused of more chams.

Typekills tend to prove you don't hack. =)

Yeah, but even an aimbotter can't shoot while typing...right? Besides, after everyone else has QQed at me, if I say "type kill", the responses are along the lines of "QQ", "owned hacking nub", etc.

Well Really, I found a guy with ALL numbers in his/her name, in my Fireteam Game. After the prizes got given out, I activated my Super elite Moderator first. I was playing with my friends, then, the person started hacking, so i kicked him. then In game i see a megaphone saying : "b-raid8 is a rage kicker. He kicked me because i was hacking." Then I got a ! day Ban. So I get my guy back later today. Oh, and b-raid8 will not have enough KDR to join but my Alternate account has over 1.00 name: FuZZi_IsX-

How was the guy hacking btw? If it isn't obvious that the guy is hacking or if they stop hacking after you kick them (while still playing in other games) there is a good chance you will get temporarily suspended (especially since Nexon is being a bit trigger happy right now with the number of noobs who are getting their hands on e mod). QQing is one of the biggest problems in the game though and if it wasn't doomed to fail I'd wish there was a QQing version of the CBL that brands repetitive QQers as noobs forever (even the concept sounds dumb).

@Randomprsn for the lolz could you do an internet speed test at a McDonald's if you happen to be near one? I want to lol at America's sucky internet (hopefully when I get back home my parents will have swapped to Comcast which is more reliable than AT&T).

Well I didn't notice that he was hacking until the 3rd round with 176 kills. I clearly said that if you're hacking you'll get kicked. The guy joined right before I said that. Then a player told me to look at his kills. SO I told him to stop hacking or he's going to get kicked. He stopped hacking until the the 9th round, so I kicked him. At round 19 we saw a megaphone saying b-raid8 is a rage kicker and so on. Then I re-logged for my mic then it said i got banned for one day.
