PostSubject: Gas/ Fire protection   November 2nd 2010, 4:23 pm

I haven't looked into this too much but I was wondering if anyone knew exactly how fire/ gas protection works. Does it reduce the damage each damage interval or reduce the time in between intervals (I could find out but I don't really want to buy a mask and run into a smoke cloud to test if if someone already knows)?

Ha I know. Unless they changed it since I last was on but anyways. The fire and gas protection reduces the damage inflicted, however I personally have seen some equipment decrease the time of the gas or fire so you have it inflict damage for less of time as normally. Although both are evenly reducing damage by however amount of % off.
I know all of this from experience I tested mostly all of the support grenades. I am sure that the damaging is changed either increase or decrease idk from when I last tested them.

You can live in a cloud of fire for 5sec without any protection.
You can live 10sec in a cloud of fire with 10% protection, 23.4sec with 20% protection, 51.6sec with 50% protection, live with any higher protection.

You can live 5.3sec in a cloud of gas without any protection.
You can live 10.82sec in a cloud of smoke with 10% protection, 24.12sec with 20% protection, 52.65sec with 50% protection, live in a cloud with any higher protection.

I calculated this on 07/28/2010 21:52 o' clock

Just a note: I have no idea how accurate my information is now but that was what it was last time I calculated it.

Wow, you must have spent a lot of time and effort calculating all that. I've never used any gear which protects from fire or gas, unless you count infected masks.

Gas inflicts more damage the longer the duration, but after leaving the area, it will wear off shortly. Be sure to reassure your calculations, since supposedly in those results, fire kills you faster.

Nexon should introduce a fire extinguisher as a weapon, as a joke. It would be funny watching people use that to get rid of fire as well as using it to hit people.

Yeah I may have mixed my calculations around since I didn't label which was gas and which was fire in my Calculations Notepad lol
Also those calculations where tested by sitting in the cloud of Gas and Fire not getting touched by the Gas or Fire and running away from it. Also I have forgot but someway their was sometimes where you would get hurt by the gas but then it went away instantly after the cloud of Gas or Fire went away.

|IDEA|I have an idea for a new feature of goggles, Night Vision, Thermal Vision and X-ray Goggles. These most likely would be NX 150-500 range and/or GP 10'000-15'000 range pricing.

Night Vision Goggles: Come in handy of dark maps or smoky(Smoke Grenade) areas. This probably would have to be activated by a button like #6-#9/0, probably have to add a Face slot activation button.

Thermal Vision Goggles: Come in handy in dark maps or also smoky/foggy(Snow Valley, Cold ???) areas. This also be activated the same way.

X-Ray Vision Goggles: Come in handy in any lighted area's/maps. Also activated the same way.

Nexon should add more modifications to the current ones. Call of Duty MW2 has a wider range of scopes, and additional magazines. Nexon should add these as well. Having a thermal scope would come in handy.

Only problem I see with the goggles is that if Nexon adds them, it'll get too unfair for lower level players that can't get them because of level requirements and lack of money.

Well it's meant for higher leveled players. Hey think of it this way if those lower ranked men/women want those goggles, then they must fight them it inspires them to get better or makes them want to go after them something like that.

But they won't level up easy as they will keep losing because of that disadvantage.
